Moving has its curveballs, and we want our valued customers to know that should something happen on the day of your move, we have a no-hassle damage protection policy in place to make sure you are taken care of.

Caddy makes it easy to get reimbursed for unforeseen damages that occur during your move.

Our damage claim portal only takes a few minutes to complete online, and it allows our team to evaluate the damages incurred so we can get you compensated appropriately.

Submit Claim

Our damage policy:

  • Submit within 24 hours

    We require all damage claims be submitted within 24 hours of your move date to be eligible for reimbursement.

  • Fair price value

    Our team will take a fair look at your submission claim and we hold our word to reimburse, refund, or compensate for the fair price value of the damages incurred.

  • Get reimbursed in 1-3 business days

    Either through reimbursement or compensation, our team will send payment within 1-3 business days.

Caddy is fully insured

If appropriate, we can engage with our general liability insurance policy to cover for damages incurred.

Our multi-million dollar insurance policy provides peace-of-mind, knowing that every move with Caddy is covered.

Please note that engaging with insurance will result in a longer timeline for reimbursement than what is stated in our no-hassle damage protection policy.

Damages and insurance FAQ

Is everything covered?

Pre-existing damages, particleboard furniture, minor damages, natural material, completed repairs, certain electronics and appliances, oversized and extremely heavy items, reassembled items, and installations are not covered. Read more about our exclusions list in our Terms and Conditions.

Will insurance be used for all damages?

No. Caddy will engage with its insurance binder if deemed appropriate. For damages that can be covered out of pocket or through a discount, Caddy will not engage with its insurance company.

How long is the policy valid for?

All damage claims must be submitted within 24 hours after your move finishes to be eligible for our damage protection policy.

Is my truck rental covered?

No. Caddy is not a truck rental company and we do not provide drivers to drive your rental truck. Your truck rental insurance will be separate.

How much reimbursement can I expect?

Based on your damage claim submission, our team will take an honest look at what was damaged and makes a promise to provide you with reimbursement or compensation based on the fair price value of your items.
